Sheds, summerhouses and garden studios are classed as outbuildings and as a general rule of thumb fall under 'Permitted Developments'. You won't need to request planning permission for a greenhouse unless you want it to be built right next to your house or if your property is classed as a listed building.
With regards to a garden studio or summerhouse, it must not be higher than 4.5 metres, or 2 metres high if it is going to be built within 2 metres of your property boundary.
If you are unsure, don't worry as we'll be able to advise you if planning permission is required when we visit your property.
Nevertheless, we strongly recommend familiarising yourself with any necessary restrictions and requirements, as we cannot accept responsibility if planning permission is required but not sought.
